CAPE TOWN – Metrorail services in Paarl, Worcester and Wellington have been disrupted this morning following a violent protest.

Protestors set Mbekweni Station alight last night and also placed burning tyres on the railway tracks.

Trains operating between Cape Town and Wellington will terminate at Huguenot Station in the Paarl area.
